Take a trip to 1960 for the funniest installment yet of the 'Church Basement Ladies.' It's coming to the Liberty Center here in Sedalia for a one-time performance on Tuesday, Jan. 28. This show is a hilarious romp from the past that resonates with audiences of today.  If you've heard of the show or if you haven't, you'll find something to like.

They’re cookin’ again at East Cornucopia Lutheran! It's 1960, and a reformation is underway.  Beverly is turning 15 and gets her first pair of high heels for confirmation. Karin is finally learning how to drive. Mrs. Snustad and Mrs. Gilmerson plan a food booth at the county fair to raise money.

The Church Basement Ladies’ songs are always heartfelt and charming and the humor is family-friendly. If you are looking for some funny, feel-good entertainment, A Mighty Fortress is Our Basement is the production for you.

I got to talk with Terri Ballard with the Liberty Center about the show, how to get tickets, and more.

Through it all, these "bulwarks never failing" stand strong in their faith and in their friendships. With more great new songs and more lessons reluctantly learned, the Church Basement Ladies are at it again in their new musical comedy.

Visit the historic Liberty Center Theatre at 111 West 5th St. in downtown Sedalia for this crowd pleasing show. Tickets are $28 each. Group rates are available. The show is on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. Call 660-827-3228 to secure your tickets.

Basemently yours,
Behka
