Over the weekend, country music fans who turned into Fox News’ popular show ‘Huckabee’ were in for a special treat, as Lee Brice performed on the show. Brice sang an emotion-filled and powerful rendition of his brand new single, ‘Hard to Love’ for viewers.

As he does with many of his musical guests, governor and host Mike Huckabee — an avid musician and bass player in his very own band Capitol Offense — backed Brice up in his band during the song.

Prior to kicking off the hit song and title track to Brice’s new album, Huckabee and Brice talked about the early stages of the singer’s career, including songwriting for other big names in the industry, which helped make him a household name in Nashville. In the past several years, Brice has had cuts as well as No. 1 singles with superstars like Tim McGraw (‘Still’), Garth Brooks (‘More Than a Memory’) and the Eli Young Band (‘Crazy Girl’).

‘Hard to Love,’ penned by Ben Glover, Billy Montana and John Ozier, is the follow-up tune to Brice’s chart-topping hit, ‘A Woman Like You.’ Click here to read our exclusive interview with Ben Glover about the story behind the lyrics to ‘Hard to Love.’
