Kiwanis tries to serve children and youth using two approaches. One attempts to improve the quality of life directly through activities promoting health, education, etc. The other tries to encourage leadership and service among youth. They're going to be funding those goals with a great event coming up: their Trivia Night.

The Kiwanis Trivia Night is open to teams from two to eight members and the Sedalia Kiwanis Club is asking service clubs, schools, churches and families to come and test your knowledge. The entry fee is $10 per person and all proceeds will go to help fund youth programs in the Sedalia community. There will be a prize for the top team as well as door prize drawings throughout the evening, a 50/50 drawing, free refreshments and more.

To enter your team for the Kiwanis Trivia Night call Bob Milner at 660-827-5442 or email bobmilner@sbcglobal.net.  Help the Kiwanis help kids here locally with their mission to improve the day to day life of kids and to get them out there to lead others.

In pursuit of the latter goal, Kiwanis sponsors about 7,000 youth service clubs with nearly 320,000 youth members.  Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They have built playgrounds and raised funds for pediatric research.

You can help while having a great time at the Trivia Night.  It'll be held at the Salvation Army, 1200 East Broadway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17.  Again, if you want to enter your team, call Bob Milner at 827-5442.

Trivially yours,

Behka
