The fall edition of Kidabaloo was held last Friday night at the Smith-Cotton Junior High gym, with about 250 people attending the popular event.

Kidabaloo promoter and organizer Derrick Gill said this was the first time the event was held in the fall. The last one was held in late April at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

"It was a lot of fun, we had a lot of big help from State Farm Agent Bryan Jenkins again, and Just Get In Photo Booth and Entertainment, they helped us out with all the bounce houses, and Jenkins had the stuffed animals for the first 50 kids like we usually do," Gill said.

He added that the event was held on a weeknight at a smaller venue this time, rather than the big one in the spring. "We had about 250 or so people attend, so it was right in line with what we expected for a Friday night, and I think the kids had a great time out there," Gill noted.

Future plans call for more events like Kidabaloo. "We'll plan on having at least one or two a year, I think this one went well enough that we'll do another one next year in the fall. Not real sure how big it will be, and then in the spring, I think we're looking at making it even bigger and better than it was last year. It's been growing pretty well for the spring, and we've got a lot of fun stuff that we're working on," Gill said. "It's fun for the whole family."
