Kenny Chesney brought his latest 'Life on a Rock' single 'When I See This Bar' to late night TV on Monday (July 22), performing on 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.' The host, who will turn the show and its duties over to Jimmy Fallon next year, prefaced Chesney's performance by calling him a "country superstar" and the "king of the road," both of which were accurate descriptions.

For four minutes, the stage on Leno's show transformed itself for an imitate Chesney "concert."

Wearing his familiar uniform of a t-shirt, straw cowboy hat, jeans and boots, with an acoustic guitar strapped to his person, Chesney delivered the ballad with the same intensity and professionalism as though he were playing to the No Shoes Nation at an arena.

But it wasn't an arena. It was a much more controlled environment that allowed his set to be an intimate and powerful performance. Even though Chesney is in the midst of a long, hot summer tour, he still performed 'When I See This Bar' with freshness. He's clearly a man who loves what he does and isn't experiencing any sort of fatigue when taking a stage.
