Kids, as we all know, parenting can be hard.  And if you're new to it, there are so many more safety features and gadgets and whathasits than we had when I was a kid.  Heck, I remember my Mother having to tell me to sit down in the  car and not stand on the seat.  So we could all use a little guidance when it comes to kid safety.

The Kiwianis club are here to help you with that.  They've got their Kiwianis One Day coming up.  It's a hands on community service day, and they dedicate themselves to changing the world for the positive in a local way.  They think globally and act locally, if you will.  They're working with us all here in Sedalia to keep kids safer.  So, they're sponsoring a Child Seat Safety event.

It's an afternoon where if you bring by your car with your kid's car seat in it, and they'll check it to be sure it's hooked up properly and that all the state requirements are met.   It'll be in the front parking lot of the main branch of Third National Bank this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  They'll have specialists with the Sedalia Police and Fire, and the PCHC will also be around.

So bring your kids and car seat down and keep the little ones safe at no cost!  If you need more information, call Dave Kelley at 826-8218.

Safely yours,

Behka
