Kacey Musgraves is spending quality time with her dad this Father's Day, as the singer brought Craig on the road with her. The "Biscuits" hitmaker says she's a daddy's girl, and she's excited to be spending his day with him.

Musgraves talked to Taste of Country at 2015 Country Jam, revealing that she gets a lot of good advice from her father.

“He’s a pretty smart individual,” she says. “He’s pretty good at, like, ‘If you don’t have anything super smart to say, then don’t say anything, because you’ll always come off a little better.”

After confirming she's a daddy's girl, Musgraves admitted she gets some good qualities from her mother, too. Craig and Kacey will be traveling Colorado for work this weekend. She's set to play the Telluride Bluegrass Festival on Sunday (June 21).

“I think he’s always wanted to go, too, so we’re going to play a festival there and hang and (have) quality time,” Musgraves says when asked what gift she got Dad. He's surely proud of her second album, as well. Pageant Material hits stores and digital retailers on Tuesday (June 23). Expect a very personal album — it's almost autobiographical.

“I think it’s just what happened,” she says. “I didn’t really have any intentions going in besides just wanting to write a bunch of good songs, country songs.”

Musgraves played Country Jam on Saturday night, opening for Tim McGraw in Grand Junction, Colo. The camping and music festival closes on Sunday with Toby Keith headlining.
