Country fans first took notice of up-and-comer Jordan Davis after he released his infectious debut single, "Singles You Up," in 2017 and saw it shoot to the top of the charts. Davis' brother Jacob is also a country musician and songwriter in his own right, so the two siblings teamed up to write Davis' follow-up single, 2018's "Take It From Me," with Jason Gantt.

"It was actually Jacob's idea, but he wanted to write this advice-seeking song," Davis recalls. "I kind of flipped it on its head a little bit and wrote it a little bit more literally."

Davis goes on to say that the song's family connection made it even more important for him to release it as his next single: "It's really cool to have it out," he adds. "It's even more special to have it out with my brother."

Less than a year after concluding performances on the Plead the Fifth Tour, during which he was an opening act for Kip Moore, Davis will be teaming up with Moore once again for Moore's Fall 2018 After the Sunburn Tour. The trek kicks off in September.

"My first big theater tour was out with Kip, so it means a lot for him to have us back out and actually give us the chance to give direct support for him," Davis explains. "And then, if you've ever been to a Kip Moore show -- I mean, I won't miss a show. That's one of the things that me and the band are most looking forward to, is not only playing, but being able to get offstage and turn around and watch Kip and his guys do what they do. We're really proud and pumped about that."
