Jana Kramer and husband Michael Caussin are having a baby girl next year. The “I Got the Boy” singer had her friends reveal the news for her, and she’s shared the video with fans.

Kramer has just started writing a blog for People. Her first entry shares that she and her husband of three months struggled to conceive. “We met with doctors and went through some not-so-fun stuff,” the singer explains. “Without getting into detail, it was a very stressful time for something that is supposed to be fun! My heart goes out to the women who struggle with conceiving.”

The first post also talks about her morning sickness, cravings and the decision to find out the sex of their baby early. Kramer is 15 weeks along. Typically an ultrasound won’t reveal gender for at least another month, but the couple opted to take a blood test at 10 weeks. Then, the nurse told Kramer’s friend, and she had other friends fill squirt guns with appropriately-colored water to surprise the couple. You can watch the video below.

So here I am, 15 weeks, my second trimester — still puking, still only able to eat bagels and cereal. The hardest part has been performing. I have a barf bag on stage and usually I am able to get through the concert, but after every show, my sweet assistant Brittni holds my hair as I puke.

Kramer previously announced she and her ex-football player husband were expecting early in 2016. They married in May after a 6-month engagement. The little girl will be their first.
