Saturday December 5 is the date for the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade in historic downtown Sedalia. Gather the family for this year's event as marching bands and floats galore will travel through the parade route. This year's theme is " Christmas Around the World."  The parade will travel down Ohio street. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m.

Santa and his elves will show up, but unfortunately for those wanting to be in the holiday spirit, no snow is in the forecast as the National Weather Service in Kansas City is predicting sunny skies and a high of 56 degrees for the day. Now at the time of the parade, you may still need that jacket, hat and gloves with temperatures expecting to be in the mid 30's.

If you haven't had your fill of Christmas parades, the temperature should be a little warmer in the afternoon at the Hughesville Christmas parade which starts at 2:00 p.m.
