Hunter Hayes is kicking off 2017 with brand new music. The country singer-songwriter and guitar shredder performed his new track "All for You" for the first time live on Good Morning America Thursday morning (Jan. 5).

The song will be featured in Paramount Pictures’ forthcoming feature film Monster Trucks, due in theaters Jan. 13.

Hayes began the song alone on vocals, with a programmed drum beat backing him as he sang of navigating life's twists and turns.

"Running on heartaches / Crashing through the mistakes / You're not the only one who thinks they're the only one / All the puzzle pieces, yeah it's funny how it makes sense / When the road winds you back to right where you came from," he sings at the song's start.

The Best Guitarists in Country Music

Hayes penned the upbeat and optimistic track with Nashville songwriters Jon Nite and Emily Weisband. Well known for his guitar shredding, viewers get a chance to see Hayes' guitar chops mid-song with an impressive guitar solo. Watch his performance of "All for You" above.

“This past year has been such an incredible journey for me, both personally and creatively, and I can’t wait to share new music with everybody,” Hayes says in a press release. “You never know where a song will take you or how it might affect somebody, and while we work on finishing the new album and putting out more songs, it’s really cool to have this one I wrote a while back come to life with a film and be able to share it in its own unique way.”

In addition to performing his brand new track, Hayes has been busy working on his third studio album, which will include his current single, “Yesterday’s Song” as well as previously released songs “Amen” and “Young Blood.”
