Green Ridge Closed Until Monday Due to Students With Stomach Bug

KSIS was informed Thursday morning that Green Ridge Schools would be dismissed early on Thursday, and would be closed on Friday, January 29. KSIS contacted the Elementary Principle of Green Ridge School, Rachel Hammers, and was told that nearly 40% of the students were suffering from a stomach bug.

According to Hammers, there were incidents of vomiting and diarrhea. Ms. Hammers also said they were cleaning and disinfecting the school, a process that has been taking place for several days now.

Hammers said the dismissal through the weekend will hopefully give the students time to recover.
