The West View Shopping Center in Warrensburg will be getting another new business soon. Goody's is leaving, and Gordmans is coming in. This is one of my mother's favorite stores. I'm anticipating that she'll soon be coming to visit a lot more often.

According to the Daily Star Journal, Stage Stores, the parent company of both Goody's and Gordmans, is converting all Bealls, Goody's, Peebles and Stage stores to Gordmans. A large sign outside of Goody's, which is finalizing a store closing sale, announces that the new Gordmans will open on March 7.

This will be the latest addition to the West View Shopping Center on N. Charles St. Longtime entertainment store Hastings closed in 2016, and the building was vacant for a long while. This past fall, Spirit Halloween opened in the former Hastings site, and soon after the conclusion of the Halloween season, Planet Fitness took over the space. The shopping center is also home to Dollar Tree, Shoe Sensation, Ihop, and several other businesses.
