The Truman Lake Opry in Tightwad, Missouri will host country legend Gene Watson on September 17 and September 18.

Watson is best known for a string of country hits throughout the 1970s and 80s that included six No. 1 songs, 23 top tens and 75 charting singles. His signature songs include ‘Farewell Party,’ 'Fourteen Carat Mind,’ ‘Love in The Hot Afternoon,’ ‘Got No Reason Now For Going Home,’ and ‘Paper Rosie.’

Watson's latest album is entitled 'Real.Country.Music.' “Going into the studio with a collection of songs that I’ve loved for many years and finally get to record is one of my all-time favorite things to do," said Watson in a newsletter to fans. “Each song is special to me and I’m always glad to hear your comments. On this CD, I added back some songs that you let me know are no longer available for purchase."

Tickets for the Gene Watson concerts at the Truman Lake Opry are $30-$35. Tickets can be purchased online.
