Are you ready for some football? Carrie Underwood gave fans a tease of the brand-new opening segment for NBC's Sunday Night Football at the end of last month, and the hype was real. On Sept. 9, her full opener was debuted, making a splashy and fun show preceding the Green Bay-Chicago matchup.at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin.

Underwood's delivery of the song, which was written just for SNF, was smoldering, as she strutted first in skintight leggings and then swapped to a black romper that showed off her famously toned gams. Her scenes were interspersed with glimpses of some of the NFL's current hotshots in action, as well as glamorous cityscapes representing many of the areas the players represent.

Underwood expressed satisfaction with the segment before it aired, letting fans know it was going to be something special—and something different, too. "We just felt like it was time to maybe switch it up," she noted. "[The song] was written specifically for Sunday Night Football, and I think it's such a great hype song."

Sunday Night Football is prime-time television's No. 1 show for seven years running. This year marks the sixth season that Underwood will be singing the SNF theme. The superstar is poised to release her brand-new album Cry Pretty on Sept. 14.
