Finally, after a string of promo videos teasing the forthcoming vampiric epidemic, FX released a full trailer for 'The Strain,' featuring actual footage from the new horror series. We've already seen the first photos from the premiere episode, debuting on the network this July 13, so now sneak a peek at 'House of Cards'' Corey Stoll fighting off the vampire threat.

Zombies, eat your hearts out! Our first real look at 'The Strain' brings Guillermo del Toro's popular 2009 novel trilogy to life, following Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Stoll), a CDC operative who investigates a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

Also present in the 'Strain' trailer are fellow cast members Mia Maestro (‘Alias’), David Bradley (‘Game of Thrones,’ replacing John Hurt) and Richard Sammel (‘Inglorious Basterds’), though Regina King, Sean Astin (‘Lord of the Rings‘), Roger Cross (‘24‘), Leslie HopeRobert Maillet (‘Pacific Rim‘), Lauren Lee Smith, Miguel Gomez and Kevin Durand (‘LOST‘) also feature. Former ‘LOST’ and current ‘Bates Motel‘ showrunner Carlton Cuse will helm FX’s adaptation from a screenplay by del Toro and novel co-writer Michael Hogan.

'The Strain' premieres on FX on July 13, but perhaps the above trailer will satiate your hunger until then. Let us know what you hope to see in the comments, and check out the latest, creepy promo below.
