Influenza has seen an uptick in recent weeks, so much that the Bothwell Regional Health Center Communications Director issued and advisory for those that are feeling ill and to caution visitors to patients if they're feeling ill.

Because of the high incidence of influenza and other respiratory illness, Bothwell Regional Health Center is asking that people who are coughing, sneezing, have a fever, are exhibiting any symptoms of illness or know they have been exposed to an illness to not visit patients in the hospital.

Visitors exhibiting symptoms of illness will be required to wear a mask. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we want to do all we can to protect the health of our patients and visitors.

We appreciate the public’s cooperation.
