What child hasn't had a case of "The Gimmies" before?  When Brother and Sister Bear discover that they can get anything they want from Papa Bear by throwing tantrums, they use "The Gimmies" over and over again until Papa Bear reaches his breaking point.  A great lesson about selfishness and whining, you might want this book within arm's reach at all times.

Perhaps one of the most important Berenstain Books in the collection, this book teaches young children the dangers of strangers and what to do if they are approached by an adult that they don't know.  It's up to Sister Bear to prevent Brother Bear from getting into a bad situation after their parents teach them about "bad apples."  The book includes a list of rules for dealing with strangers on the last page that could prevent a potentially hazardous situation.
