Additional Information

The fifth installment of the national hit musical comedy series, The Church Basement Ladies in The Last (Potluck) Supper will be presented Thursday, March 19 at the historic Liberty Center Theater. The production comes from Minneapolis, MN, and has been selling out in venues coast to coast. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by phone at (660) 826-2899, online at www.lcaasedalia.com or at the Liberty Center, 111 West 5th, Sedalia, MO. There will be a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. evening show. Show tickets are $30 or $28 for groups of eight or more people.

In the final installment, the year is 1979, the day of the church’s Centennial Celebration, and past parishioners have gathered to share casseroles, desserts and stories from the last 100 years. As the women work in the kitchen, these shared memories burst into life through a series of flashbacks. As they time-jump through a Century, these ladies manage to serve up a rib-tickling panorama of the changes in the kitchen, without spilling a drop of their egg coffee!

Meanwhile, the bittersweet Centennial Celebration continues on the lawn. Times are tough in this small farm community, and hard decisions will have to be made. Once again, the ladies handle it all with grace, hilarity and more crazy antics.

In order to provide our audience an even better experience, the historic Calvary Episcopal Church will offer tours of their church and serve a traditional church basement lunch at 11:30 a.m. The church is located at Broadway and Ohio. Lunch reservations can be made by calling (660) 826-4873. There will also be an exhibit by local photographer, Mark Hammond at the Liberty Center. The exhibit titled “Sedalia’s Gospels in Glass” feature the beautiful stained glass in local historic churches.
