DESCRIPTION:The 2012 Missouri State Hog Rally will be celebrating their 20th anniversary in Sedalia.     They start Friday afternoon with a bike show and band (open to the public) at Yeager's Harley Davidson.  Then\, Saturday\, between 6-7 p.m. they will line up for the parade\, which will go down Broadway to Ohio where there will be a free concert by Tyler Farr.  There will be beer gardens\, food\, and vendors.

SUMMARY:FCMA Dirt Drags
DESCRIPTION:The Full Circle Motorcyle Association will have their Dirt Drags.    It'll be held at the State Fair Arena on the Missouri State Fairgrounds on October 13.  Take Clarendon road\, at Gate 10.   Sign in from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adult admission is $10\, kids 13-16 are $5 and children 12 and under are admitted free.  There will be a $10 entry fee for all participants in the dirt drags.  Rodeo includes a barrel race\, potato in the hay stack\, a keg throw\, slow ride\, plank ride weenie bite and  the "honey\, I'm home".   The event will be put on in the memory for Mike Naylor.  FCMA is a non profit organization\, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the March of Dimes Bikers for Babies.   The rain date for this event will be October 27.  For more information\, visit http://www.fcmabiker.com/

SUMMARY:Basic Motorcycle Course
DESCRIPTION:“Give us a Weekend\, We’ll Make You a Biker!” is the theme of State Fair Community College’s Basic Rider motorcycle course this fall.    The course is designed for beginning or re-entry riders who want to learn how to operate a motorcycle safely. Little or no knowledge of motorcycle operation is necessary.    The final class for this fall is scheduled Oct. 26-28 on the Sedalia campus.    Class will meet from 6-10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The course includes a minimum of five hours classroom instruction in Room 609 of the Automotive Technology Building and at least 10 hours of practical riding in a controlled\, off-street environment.    Cost is $199; motorcycles are provided for use during class. Students are encouraged to bring their own helmets\, but loan helmets are available. All helmets must be DOT certified and in good condition with labeling intact.    Each class is limited to 10 students. Students must enroll early enough to read a study guide and complete a pre-course assignment.    Riders will learn straight-line riding\, turning\, shifting and stopping; cornering\, swerving and emergency braking; how alcohol and drugs affect the ability to ride safely; how to create a strategy for riding in traffic; and what to wear for protection and comfort.    Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Missouri Motorcycle Safety Program.    Riders who pass the class will receive a Missouri Motorcycle Safety Program completion card\, which can be used to waive the skill portion of the Missouri State Highway Patrol motorcycle license exam. SUMMARY:St Patrick's Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The VFW Ladies Auxiliary 2591 celebrates St Patrick's Day on Saturday\, March 16.     They'll begin with a cake walk at the VFW Hall\, with the walks starting at 9:00 am. SUMMARY:Bikes, Blues & BBQ
DESCRIPTION:The Cole Camp Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a "Bikes\, Blues & BBQ" event for Saturday\, May 11 in downtown Cole Camp.    The motorcycle show will feature various classes of bikes and awards will be given in each class and a trophy will got to the bike judged as best of show.  Registration for the bike show will be from 11:00 a.m.  until 1:00 p.m. on North Maple Street in downtown Cole Camp\, with judging to begin at 1:00 p.m. The barbecue contest will be held on Maple Street and includes categories for pork ribs\, brisket\, chicken\, and pork.  Sampling is available from noon to 1:15 p.m. Live music will be featured in the Jaycee Gardens performed by the "Full Moon Band".  The Cole Camp Jaycees will also host a beer garden that afternoon.  For the most up to date information\, visit the Cole Camp Bikes\, Blues and BBQ page on Facebook.  Partial funding for the event has been provided by the Benton County Tourism Commission.
