The Missouri Valley College Division of Fine Arts presents the hit musical revue Forbidden Broadway’s Greatest Hits at 7:30 p.m. nightly October 7-9 in MVC’s Charles L. Bacon Conference Center inside the Malcolm Center for Student Life.

The fast-paced production features singing and dancing with hilarious parodies of several Broadway favorites including Chicago, Rent, Mama Mia, Hairspray, West Side Story, CATS, Fiddler on the Roof, Annie, Les Miserables, Into the Woods, and Spamalot.

The cast includes Amanda Harrelson, Tyrone Harris, Terrence Mickens, Mackenzie Mohler, and Kayla Williams.  The musical also features cameo performances from special guests Paula Bear and Dan Fahnestock.  The production is directed by Associate Professor of Theatre Harold Hynick, with musical direction by Associate Professor of Music Diana Malan and choreography by Associate Professor of Dance Janie Morgan.  Alexandria Taylor serves as stage manager while Emily Schaefer serves as assistant choreographer.  The setting and lights are designed by Associate Professor of Theatre Jay Rozema and the costumes are designed by Instructor of Theatre Dyann Rozema.

The production will also include a special fundraising event with the Culinary Cabaret at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9.  The Culinary Cabaret will feature a selection of hors d’oeuvres and wine pairings prepared by Chef Eron Baker.  Tickets (includes food, wine, and show) for the Culinary Cabaret are $30 per person or $200 for a table of eight  and must be purchased by October 2.  To reserve tickets for the Culinary Cabaret, call 660-831-4052.
