Smith-Cotton High School Army JROTC will be hosting its 10th Annual Drill Competition on Saturday, 14 February 2015, at the Smith-Cotton High School.

Schools coming from Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa and Kansas will be competing. Events include Armed Drill and Exhibition, Armed Color Guard, Unarmed Drill and Exhibition, Unarmed Color Guard, and of course Individual Drill Down. Drill consists of a Platoon Marching without Rifles. Armed Drill consists of a Platoon Marching with Rifles. Exhibition consists of a Platoon marching with or without Rifles by using movements not typical to a normal drill routine. Color Guard consists of a team presenting the Colors.

Other highlights of the Smith-Cotton Army JROTC Drill Meet include a silent auction and the selling of 50/50 raffle tickets.

The silent auction will include items from local businesses and many restaurants in Sedalia.

All proceeds will benefit the Smith-Cotton High School Army JROTC program.
