University of Missouri Extension and Lincoln University Cooperative Extension Farm Outreach Program are working together to put on a goat workshop on March 12, 2013 at 5:30 p. m. at the Holden City Hall in Holden, MO.

The speakers for the evening will be Travis Harper, Henry County MU Extension Agronomy Specialist, presenting “Forage Management for Goat Production” and Jeff Yearington, Lincoln University Cooperative Extension Farm Outreach Worker for Johnson and Cass County, presenting “Goat Management and Breeding Strategies.”

Cost of the workshop is $10 per person with refreshments being provided.  Also, at the meeting there will be a drawing for door prizes donated by local agricultural businesses.  If you would like to attend please contact the Johnson County Extension office at (660) 747 – 3193 by March 11, 2013.  Furthermore, if you have questions on the workshop contact Patrick Davis at (660) 747 – 3193 or by email at davismp@missouri.edu.
