The Sedalia Area Farmers’ Market will temporarily relocate during the Missouri State Fair.

The market will move from its home at the Centennial Gate of the Missouri State Fairgrounds to the south parking lot of Westlake Ace Hardware, 1010 Thompson Blvd., during the state fair. The market will be open in the Westlake Ace Hardware parking lot on Aug. 8, 12 and 15. It will return to the fairgrounds on Aug. 19.  The SAFM is open 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and 3 to 7 p.m. Fridays, but will closes at 6 p.m. on Fridays during the months of September and October.

August is also Healthcare Employee Appreciation Month at the market, which means all healthcare employees can receive a $1 off coupon by showing proof of employment at the market tent. All market patrons have the opportunity to put their name in a drawing each time they visit the market for a chance to win the monthly Bag of Bounty, which includes a reusable shopping bag and $20 in market tokens. The Bag of Bounty drawing takes place the first Friday of each month.  The SAFM continues to offer matching dollars for food stamp/EBT transactions. The market accepts cash, debit and food stamps/EBT.  For questions, visit sedaliareafarmersmarket.com, email info@sedaliaareafarmersmarket.com, call at 620-6841 or 281-7244, or find on Facebook.
