Clinton’s Best Home-Made Ice Cream & Cruise Night

The second annual “Clinton’s Best Home-Made Ice Cream” competition will be held Saturday, August 8 in conjunction with Cruise Night on the Clinton’s Historic Downtown Square. Teams or individuals are invited to participate by serving up their best homemade ice cream recipes with their favorite toppings.

Registration for drivers will begin at 5 p.m. All registered drivers will receive a 25-cent coupon per gallon of gas courtesy of Slugger’s 66.

Ice cream servings to the judges and the public will begin at 6 p.m. The public can purchase $2 tasting tickets that allow them to sample all of the entries.

Judges will determine the top three entries, which will receive chamber gift certificates for $100, $75, and $50. All other entries will receive Chamber Gift Certificates for $25.

The contest will be limited to ten teams and each team must bring 3 gallons of frozen homemade ice cream.  Each team is required to keep the ice cream frozen until it is served to the judges and the public. There is no fee to enter.
