The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts Program will present Lanford Wilson’s award-winning drama “Talley’s Folly” Feb. 26 through March 2 in the Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre in Yeater Learning Center, Room 126, on the Sedalia campus.

At the end of World War II, Matt Friedman, a Jewish immigrant who has spent his life keeping others at a distance, returns to Lebanon, Mo., where he first met Sally Talley. Nothing like her conservative Protestant family and neighbors, Sally is a nurse with deep misgivings about the country’s future. After a lifetime of believing they’ll never truly belong in the world around them, Matt has worked up the courage to ask Sally to marry him.  The performance is rated PG; it is not suitable for children.

Regular performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 through March 1; admission is $6. Tickets are $15 for a March 1 dinner theatre in the Yeater Learning Center lobby; dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Special group rates are available for both regular performances and dinner theatre. The dinner theatre menu is available by calling the Box Office at (660) 596-7387 from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Wheelchair seating is available upon request.  A student matinée will be presented at 1 p.m. Feb. 27 and a matinée free to anyone 60 or older will be presented at 2 p.m. March 2.
