According to a press release, two people, a male and female, were shot around 4:50 a.m. at a house located at 1816 South Sneed Avenue in Sedalia.

The victims, a male and a female, were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center and later were transferred to the University of Missouri Columbia for further treatment. And according to a Sedalia Police Department press release, they were taken to the Mid-Missouri Trauma Center.

The victims' names have not yet been released, pending the notification of family members.

As of 11:45 a.m., Sneed Avenue remained closed to through traffic near the crime scene, with several officers and detectives combing through the evidence inside the tiny gray house.

No suspect information has yet been released, but reportedly, officers identified a possible suspect, who was later caught and arrested by Columbia police officers at a home in Columbia and is being transported back to Sedalia.
