After much consideration of what to make for the Child Safe Dessert Auction tonight (Nov. 25), I decided to go with a pumpkin/sweet potato/pecan pie.

It was a tall order to accomplish, if you know me and my kitchen ability, but it did get accomplished thanks to the help of my lovely wife, Diana Sokolowski.I liked it so much I made two.

She made sure I didn't mess this one up and even added the extra candied pecans on top.I followed this basic recipe from Taste of Home, but did throw in a few own spins.

Regardless, I hope you make it out to the Celebration Center at 5:30 tonight, with the auction starting at 6.
