It isn't the end of the fair until there is a demolition derby. This year's derby was held in the State Fair Arena at 2 p.m. on a beautiful sun-filled Sunday afternoon (Aug 18).

Demolition derbies are a great way to take some aggression out, especially if there is family members involved. One heat had a father-in-law and daughter-in-law competing against each other, and another heat had several cousins involved. There were some hard hits, tires being broken off, bumpers ripped from their vehicles and tempers flaring

All in all, this was an exciting smash 'em, bash 'em destruction of vehicles. It was amazing how rough some of these cars looked, and even more amazing that they still ran and were able to mash into another.

I Hope you were able to attend this for the last day, cause it was standing room only for this event. It was great seeing all of you at the Fair and until next year, it is now time to get some much needed rest.
