Craig Morgan has played many roles throughout his life: EMT. Member of the United States Army. Country singer and songwriter. Husband. But the "job" he relishes most, and the one in which he invests the most time, is that of father.

"To me, that’s more important than any of the CDs I’ve ever made, the kids," the father of four tells The Boot. "I have all these CDs that are imprints of my life at particular points in my life, that people can look at that and say, ‘Oh I remember this,’ and has impact. But the real impact that I have on the world is the legacy that I leave in my children and the things that they do."

Morgan, who has been married to his wife Karen for almost 28 years, embraces everything about being a dad -- including his children's misbehavior.

"I have to accept the responsibility of their negative actions just as much as I do their positive," Morgan says, referring specifically to his two sons who still live at home. "To me, that’s the most important job we have in the world, is our parenthood, because we are creating that next generation of people that impact our world, both physically, emotionally, environmentally, all of it."

Morgan's latest studio album, A Whole Lot More to Me, was released on June 3 and is available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes. The singer will spend much of the summer on the road in support of the new record; a list of all of his upcoming shows is available on his website.
