The Champions Professional Indoor Football League recently wrapped up their after season business meetings.  There has been lots of speculation as to the future of several teams, including the Mid-Missouri Outlaws. Fans of the league had hoped that an announcement would come as to whether or not expansion would take place or if any of the teams would be leaving the league. So far there has not been an official statement from the league as to expansion, but a league source said via the CPIFL Facebook, "We can't announce new teams until they're ready to announce. Stay tuned!" The same could be said for any teams that are deciding on if they are leaving.

The CPIFL did issue a statement as a follow up to the business meeting in regards to future operations.

The Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) conducted its annual summer meetings this past weekend in Kansas City.  Franchise owners met to discuss the operation of the league and set the direction for league functions as the CPIFL prepares for the 2014 season.

"Two things I am most excited about are our establishment of various owners committees and our renewed focus on technology," said CPIFL Commissioner James Bain.  "Fans will be excited about things we have coming with both our mobile and web presence." The league established three new committees and elected a new Executive Committee.

The new committees will oversee Expansion, Sales and Marketing, and Competition and Compliance.  The goal of the committees is to continue to improve the efficiency of the league office and look for new opportunities.

The league did update their Facebook page with a logo for 2014 and all the teams from 2013 were still on it.  One thing is for sure, the first season for the league, appears to have been successful on many levels and they are looking forward to 2014.
