Michael Ray's performance at New England Country Music Fest on Aug. 6 is a concert one couple will never forget. Mid-set in Portsmouth, N.H., the "Get To You" singer invited fan Eric Shepard to the stage after he asked him to help propose to his girlfriend, Kayla. The sweet moment was captured by another fan in the audience where Ray can be seen standing beside the couple and was the first to congratulate them with a big hug.

"We had an engagement last night at New England Country Music Fest," the "Kiss You In The Morning" singer shared in a press release. "When a song connects at that level where two people in love adopt it as their own, there's no greater feeling as an artist. Kayla and Eric, our song is your song now."

Ray shared a photo on Instagram with the newly engaged couple a day after his performance.

"SHE SAID YES!!!! Congrats to Eric and Kayla who got engaged last night during our set on stage @necountrymusic So awesome to be apart of this huge moment with them. #shesaidyes," he captions the photo on Instagram.

As the newly engaged couple celebrated, following his performance Ray traveled down the coast to Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom where Lee Brice and Lewis Brice were performing. The singer joined the brothers on stage as a surprise guest during "Parking Lot Party."

One never knows what will happen at a festival with Ray on the bill. In June, while performing at LakeShake Music Festival in Chicago, Ill. the singer adopted an adorable puppy. The blue-eyed, all white Husky/Shepard mix won over Ray, who appropriately named him Wrigley.
