My sister is already Christmas shopping.  She asked me what the girls want this year. I have no idea.  I don't even know what I want for Christmas this year.

My dad is impossible to buy for.  He will never answer the question, "What could I get you as a present?"  Never.  "Don't waste your money."

Great.  Then there's Husbando.  If I ask him what he wants, I get what I have dubbed "The Moreland Shrug".  His kids do it, too.  They just... shrug.

And here's the worst part, I don't know what I want either. I don't think I even want anything! I mean, jeez, for the most part, if I want something I just get it when I want it. So now Husbando tells me I can't buy anything for myself after the month of August. Lame.

I wish we could do a giftless Christmas.  I tried to do that once, and people showed up with gifts anyway.  Maybe I could do a White Elephant Christmas, or something like that. Really, I don't know if anybody wants anything or if anybody actually LIKES the presents I buy them anyway.

This whole thing just seems like too much work, too much guessing, and it's just... STRESSFUL.  Isn't this supposed to be about happy feelings and fluffiness or something? I wouldn't mind just getting together and eating something and then sitting around playing UNO.

What do you think?  When do you start Christmas shopping? Do you have a tradition of what you give at Christmas?

Help a lady out.

Giftingly yours,

Behka
