Labor Day weekend is upon us, a holiday that many mark as the end of summer. I have done many different things for Labor Day weekend in the past, from traveling to the Lake of the Ozarks, to Kansas City, Columbia and even just around town.
Mid-Missouri Outlaws Officially Join the CPIFL
Last week we reported that the Mid-Missouri Outlaws would be more than likely joining the Champions Professional Football League. Yesterday (August 22), Outlaws co-owner Ethan Henson held a press conference at the Celebration Center formally announcing that they would join the league as one of the founding teams.

Willie Nelson gave his fans a major scare over the weekend when he canceled his Saturday night gig. Reports quickly surfaced that he was hospitalized because he was having trouble breathing, but fear not! The iconic country singer is back on the road again and he’s as fit as a fiddle.
Wynonna Judd’s Husband Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash
The husband of country legend Wynonna Judd was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on Saturday night, shortly before the singer was set to begin performing in Deadwood, S.D. Michael “Cactus” Moser is also Judd’s drummer. The two were riding separate motorcycles when he crossed the center line and hit a car.

Today is day 11 of the Missouri State Fair, and is the final day too! Today is Fair Finale/Half Price Day where you can get in for $4 adult admission all day and $1 for kids ages 6-12. It’s also Celebrate Law Enforcement Day where it is free gate admission for Municipal/County/State Law Enforcement with appropriate I.D. and $1 gate admission for immediate family members.

I have been known to love spicy food and spicy sauces over the years. However I have to admit that mild has been the way I roll in recent years. I took the family out to Boonville and Columbia last weekend and tried Buckhingham’s Smokehouse BBQ. I am not going to do a formal review of the place, but I do want to talk about the sauces.
