Despite her allegiance to the Lone Star State, the current CMA Awards nominee has placed her Texas estate on the market, and is currently in the process of finding a home in Music City.
Motorists may have seen a large covered wagon drawn by two horses traveling southbound on South Limit this morning (September 19). The wagon was passing though Sedalia on a journey across the country known as the Freedom Trail Ride, honoring the fallen members of the military and supporting children with disabilities.
Kids, I know that maybe about twelve of you were thinking, "What the sam-scratch? Where the heck did that Behka person go?" Well yes, I took a little bit of well earned time off. I went to Chicago! I went to the wedding reception of one of my great friends from college and then some. So here is some photographic evidence that shows I was not, in fact, in my apartment sitting on my couch in my underwear for five days.
Usually a business will have a grand opening as soon as a place opens. However, The Station on State in Knob Noster waited six months to hold their grand opening. Owners Bart and Lori Amsbaugh thought it would be good to get their restaurant up and running and concentrate on establishing themselves and training their staff. The official grand opening was held on Saturday, September 15.
The charm of American small towns comes in many forms, and these quaint, less traveled locations are responsible for contributing some tried-and-true slices of real Americana. Because of that, they are some of the coolest places to visit in the country.

We tend to associate the end of summer and the arrival of fall with going back to school or getting back to work, as the vacation season is over. But that doesn’t have to be the case. According to a new survey conducted by 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair, the least impressive U. S. landmark is the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. The rest of the bottom five are the Alamo, Mount Rushmore, the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls. There seems to be a flaw in the survey.
The open road offers up a lot of possibilities. You’ve got adventure, new and strange destinations, gorgeous scenery, and the opportunity to escape the humdrums of your normal life, plus all of the interesting characters you’ll meet along the way. All you have to do is decide on a route, get into the car and drive.
