Sedalia is know to have its fair share of Chinese restaurants. Each of them have there own unique styles. Some of the Chinese restaurants are known for their buffets, some are known for their hibachi style and others are known for sushi. One of my favorite buffets closed down officially a week or two ago, and Joyous Chinese Buffet put up a sign over the weekend saying that they are moving into Asia Hibachi at 1975 West Broadway.
Kids, I gotta admit, sometimes I just feel like someone needs to put a fork in me. I'm done, you know? I gotta try to be upbeat, though, cos it's my job. Or something. I guess they pay me to do that. Something like that, anyway.
The Sedalia City Council is looking at drafting an ordinance that would ban smoking in public places. There are already numerous cities that have drafted similar ordinances that ban smoking in public places, including restaurants and bars across our country and in Missouri. Sedalia already has banned smoking at State Fair Community College and Bothwell Regional Health Center and its affiliates, city owned property also has restrictions that have been put in place. Many businesses have made the decision on their own to prohibit smoking inside the restaurant or business.
The Mid-Missouri Outlaws have finished their first six games of the season and have six more to go. Its Wednesday! Time for another installment of "Would You Rather" to power you through your Humpday. This time we ask if you'd rather destroy your beauty with a blemish that will be sure to get people to stare, or crash the computers of multiple friends, family and coworkers. Remember, no ifs, ands or buts!
Many of us in Mid-Missouri have been experiencing quite a few thunderstorms recently. There have been severe weather advisories, reports of 60 mph winds and the threat of hail in the area, not to mention the damaged trees, flooded streets and traffic accidents that come along with a good old fashioned Missouri storm. Despite all of this mayhem, I'm absolutely loving this weather, and I have a hard time believing that I'm only one out there who likes it.
Kids, I'm a person who has never really had much luck in the planting department. I can keep children and animals alive, and for the most part myself. But for some reason, unless it's a very low maintenance type of thing, I tend to kill plants.
