March 12, 2013 Kids, I know sometimes it can be a little strange trying to figure out just what there is to do around here. I sometimes see people on Facebook or other social media asking, "What are you guys doing tonight?" Well, I think sometimes people forget about all the good community get-togethers around here just because they're not looking for them.

March 12, 2013 Something heavy is headed for Lincoln, Mo. in May, and BOB listeners who prefer the more rockin' end of the "whatever we want" we like to play need to check out this event. The Missouri Big Ass Rock Festival on May 17-19 will include 25+ bands, camping and a whole lot of partying over three days at the Walters Ranch.
Some of these bands may be a little off the beaten path for you, but at $55 for three entire days of music, they are definitely worth checking out. I've taken the liberty of featuring some of the ones you won't want to miss.

March 8, 2013 St. Jude's children hospital is looking for Partners In Hope. KIX 105 is hosting a radiothon, encouraging listeners to join St. Jude's mission in helping give children will serious medical conditions a second chance at life. Partners In Hope give to St. Jude on a monthly basis, ensuring no child is ever turned away because of a family's inability to pay.
March 8, 2013 The Scholastic Book Fair is being held at Skyline Elementary this week, and each time they host this event, they have a themed day for the public to come out and learn having fun as a family.

March 8, 2013 The snow is melting and the temperature is starting to rise. I'm about ready for some old fashioned thunderstorms with steady rain through the week, then sunny on the weekend followed by more rain. That would do me fine.
