I was hired to DJ a wedding that was to be held outdoors.  My job was to provide sound for the ceremony then DJ the reception  in the giant tents that were set up.  That means I was there for the entire wedding.

The theme for this one was obviously country.  It was VERY well done.  The seating was hay bales, all placed in perfect rows.  The backdrop to the couple was two John Deere tractors with their buckets meeting over three large bales of hay.  The bridesmaids were all in dresses that they can easily wear again and the groomsmen were in jeans and plaid long-sleeve shirts.  ALL were in boots.  They managed to find the perfect balance of having a country wedding without it being a redneck wedding.

The MO Kids Outdoors Fishing With a Vet had an awesome turnout last weekend!  The weather was great, and we had about 100 kids come enjoy the great outdoors.  Everyone went home with a prize package including fishing information, tackle and certificates from DQ.

The Queen of the Prairies Festival in Downtown Sedalia was packed full of booths, stages, and people.  The second year of this event seemed to bring out more vendors, who showed off not only their art, but glassware and sewing just to name a few

Two days ago, Denny Perkins was standing outside and a raccoon came up and nibbled at his pants. He shooed it away, but it came back towards him. The next day, I went outside and this creature started running towards me. I went back inside.

At that point, we didn't know what to think. Is he rabid? Is he someone's pet? Either way, he is certainly not afraid of people. So the management here at the station took action and called the Missouri Department of Conservation for a trap.

When you remove a fast food burger from its wrapper and bite down, you are taking it on faith that there isn't something really disgusting between the buns.

Last week a KFC diner in the Toronto-area paid for this faith. As you can see, he took a big bite of his chicken burger only to find that somebody forgot to stick the chicken part in the deep fryer.

Usually a business will have a grand opening as soon as a place opens.  However, The Station on State in Knob Noster waited six months to hold their grand opening. Owners Bart and Lori Amsbaugh thought it would be good to get their restaurant up and running and concentrate on establishing themselves and training their staff.  The official grand opening was held on Saturday, September 15.
