October 11, 2012 Kids, I know around town some of you have seen such great writings on walls as "BILLIE SUE I LUV YOU" and "KURT SUCKS," you know. I even saw one once on a door that just said, "CAKE." I thought it was a bold move, to declare one's love for cake in such a dramatic fashion.
There's one thing we know for sure about little kids-- they can make practically anything seem adorable. Scrunched-up, twisted sour faces? Check. A boppin' on a bed rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'? You betcha! Although we're a little dumbfounded as to how this "everything is ridiculously adorable" thing actually happens, we can't help but be sucked into the cuteness every darn time. This is especially true when it comes to Halloween.
As Halloween draws near, shut the lights off, grab your pet, a well-worn blanket, and curl up to read about some of the most spine-tingling and frightening places on Earth. As the ghost stories of each place draw you in, be aware of that disembodied footstep or strange rapping noise-it may just be a spirit trying to reach out to you!
October 10, 2012 Walk into Moore's Greenhouse and Flower Shop this October and you'll get more than an eyeful of flowers. You'll find yourself standing among a variety of hand-crafted, elaborately decorated underwear provided by members of the local community. The bras aren't just for show; these glittered garments are entries in Moore's annual "Bra Contest" and help raise money for 2013 Relay for Life of Pettis County and will help fund cancer research.
Photo blog Worth 1,000 had a contest for participants to turn male celebrities into women. The results are amazing, although usually not particularly attractive.
Ron Wallace was able to grow a pumpkin to 2,009 pounds. And now the Greene, RI man is $15,500 richer for it.

I was hired to DJ a wedding that was to be held outdoors. My job was to provide sound for the ceremony then DJ the reception in the giant tents that were set up. That means I was there for the entire wedding.
The theme for this one was obviously country. It was VERY well done. The seating was hay bales, all placed in perfect rows. The backdrop to the couple was two John Deere tractors with their buckets meeting over three large bales of hay. The bridesmaids were all in dresses that they can easily wear again and the groomsmen were in jeans and plaid long-sleeve shirts. ALL were in boots. They managed to find the perfect balance of having a country wedding without it being a redneck wedding.
September 28, 2012 The MO Kids Outdoors Fishing With a Vet had an awesome turnout last weekend! The weather was great, and we had about 100 kids come enjoy the great outdoors. Everyone went home with a prize package including fishing information, tackle and certificates from DQ.
September 22, 2012 The Queen of the Prairies Festival in Downtown Sedalia was packed full of booths, stages, and people. The second year of this event seemed to bring out more vendors, who showed off not only their art, but glassware and sewing just to name a few
September 21, 2012 Two days ago, Denny Perkins was standing outside and a raccoon came up and nibbled at his pants. He shooed it away, but it came back towards him. The next day, I went outside and this creature started running towards me. I went back inside.
At that point, we didn't know what to think. Is he rabid? Is he someone's pet? Either way, he is certainly not afraid of people. So the management here at the station took action and called the Missouri Department of Conservation for a trap.
