I know a lot of you always look forward to some of the photos I take during an event. You don't know how much that really touches my heart. I hope you really enjoy this series. Not only because it is of the Homecoming Parade, but it is from my point of view since I am on my class reunion's float
I think living in the Midwest is great. You can see all kinds of things in nature, whether it be crickets, birds, squirrels, the occasional bear or whatever. However, I like to key in on insects and this week one caught my eye.
This last Friday (Sept. 27), I was lucky enough to get to go out to the VFW in downtown Sedalia for our first Sip and Shop event! It was a total blast. Everyone there was so nice, and all the vendors were a delight.
Last Saturday (Sept. 30), Kevin Walker and I had the opportunity to judge the contests at the 2nd Annual Bark in the Park event at Liberty Park in Sedalia. There were a ton of great dogs there and we had a great time meeting them all!
Be sure to stop by downtown Warrensburg this weekend to catch the rest of the city's annual "Burg Fest," which started Friday morning and goes until Sunday evening (Sept. 27-29), from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.
Two corn mazes within driving distance of Nashville are paying tribute to the Possum this fall. Fans can get lost inside the likeness of country legend George Jones during Halloween season. Overhead images of both reveal an older singer in his classic performance-wear and eyeglasses.
There's a chill in the air, brandy is slowly edging out rum as the drink of choice, and the skin around our eyes is brutally chapped -- must be Autumn! And you know what that means -- time for some laughs courtesy of perennial favorite Nightmares Fear Factory, a haunted house in Niagara Falls with a hidden camera that takes pictures of people while they're having the crap scared out of them. Hilarious! (As long as it isn't us.)
A few weeks ago, Huntin' Harry took me out to shoot his bow a little so he could warm up for a tournament. Well I shot about two arrows and was hooked immediately. I decided I wanted to get in to this archery thing. Luckily, Harry knew just the place to go: Rusty Toad Archery in Smithton.
