Another day of sunshine before rain is back in the forecast. For now, the weekend looks rain-free but you never know when that pop-up shower can enter the picture.

This weekend will bring climatological Spring to an end and it will feel much like late Spring. Highs will be generally in the mid 70's.

Periods of moderate to heavy rain with scattered thunderstorms are expected today.

If you were one of many that decided to switch on the air conditioning unit over Memorial Day weekend, you may decide you need to open the windows back up for a few days and nights as the temperatures fall back into the 70's for daytime highs and back into the 50's overnights.

As we are now officially into grilling season, (That happens over Memorial Day weekend) coals, wood chips, and propane will help to propel grills across the country. If you haven't gotten into the swing of things with your outdoor cooking, better jump on the grilling bandwagon!

As we skipped through the Memorial Day weekend with a few showers and we get ready to finish up the last week of May, rain chances will continue through Thursday.

Shower and storm coverage will increase off and on as the day progresses. A few strong to severe storms are possible, mainly south of I-70, with up to half dollar-sized hail & strong winds up to 60 mph possible.

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) has announced June 6 and 7 will be free fishing days in the Show-Me state. During these two days anyone may fish in the without having to buy a fishing permit, trout permit, or trout park daily tag.

An active stretch of weather is upcoming. Showers and thunderstorms tonight, with strong to severe storm chances Friday afternoon and evening. Shower and thunderstorm chances continue through the Memorial Day weekend along with a warm up, with weekend highs in the 80's.

A warm up commences across the region. It will be a pleasant Wednesday with shower and thunderstorm chances returning late Thursday evening and overnight.
