Kids Could Do a Lot of Things Then That They Can’t Do Now
September 25, 2012 Last week, a Texas woman was arrested for allegedly letting her kids (ages six and nine) play in their cul-de-sac unattended. I think back to my childhood and when I was around five years old, the rule was to be home when the street lights came on. We were free to roam the neighborhood and there was an understanding that if we got out of line, someone would call our parents. Of course, this was before we decided to attempt to bubble wrap our kids.

There was a lot to do in Sedalia over the weekend. The Art Festival downtown, Kids Fishing with a Vet/Hunting & Fishing Harry and the H.O.G. rally had events too. At the end of the Bike Parade, the intersection of 5th and Ohio was roped off and became a beer garden. That's when Tyler Farr took the stage.
The Station on State in Knob Noster Celebrates Grand Opening
September 17, 2012 Usually a business will have a grand opening as soon as a place opens. However, The Station on State in Knob Noster waited six months to hold their grand opening. Owners Bart and Lori Amsbaugh thought it would be good to get their restaurant up and running and concentrate on establishing themselves and training their staff. The official grand opening was held on Saturday, September 15.
