You guys probably know that I'm not a huge sporty person. I don't really watch football or anything like that, but I did hear about this crazy story from the Seattle Seahawks this weekend.

ToC Encore: Trace Adkins’ Rehab Trip Spotlights Country Music’s Drinking Problem

Earlier this week, Trace Adkins announced a second stint in an alcohol rehabilitation facility. He fell off the wagon during a cruise he was set to headline. It was his first taste of alcohol in over a decade -- since his last stay in rehab in 2002. While the singer seems to be taking full ownership of what happened on that boat, the incident shines a light on something not talked about very often.

Why the Grammys Rarely Honor CMA/ACM Awards Winners

In the last 10 years, country fans have come away scratching their heads after the Grammys. Artists and albums that are ignored at the CMA and ACM Awards are honored at the all-genre ceremony that takes place each winter. Only twice in the last decade have the CMAs and Grammys agreed on Song of the Year. Only three times beyond that was the CMA Awards winner even nominated for a Grammy.

Let’s Schedule a ‘No Pants’ Day in Sedalia

Yesterday (Jan. 11) was the annual No Pants Subway Ride Day, which has spread to dozens of countries around the world.  The event came together 13 years ago by a group named Improv Everywhere in New York City. The group put this day together to "celebrate peoples’ curiosity and to spread laughter." I think we should set a date and do something like this in Sedalia.

Would You Attend a St. Louis Winter Classic Hockey Game? [POLL]

The Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs played hockey in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the 2014 NHL Winter Classic on New Year's Day. This special game is played outdoors in the Big House. For the first time ever, the NHL drew over 100,000 fans into the stadium to watch this game as snow came falling down onto the ice surface during the Winter Classic.

I noticed on Facebook that some people  talking about this game don't even follow hockey. I wonder, what would it take for Missouri to get a game like this to draw attention to hockey in Missouri?

5 Controverisal TIME Person of the Year Award Winners From the Past

Right now we're doing a poll to see who people think is the Sedalia Person of the Year. Because Tuffy the Clown is one of the nominees and leading vote getter right now, this thing has really blown up and made national news. I find it a little funny that as big as this thing has gotten and as clearly as I've been explaining it, there are still quite a few people who don't understand what our Person of the Year Award is about.
