July 30, 2012 Michael Phelps came in 4th in the 400m individual medley on Saturday. NBC made the decision to broadcast the race in prime time instead of live. Twitter absolutely exploded. People were angry at other news outlets for posting the results of the race and other spoilers before they had the chance to see them. Some gave NBC some flack for not airing the race live. For the first time, Olympians are allowed to use social media as well, but are not allowed to reveal any results.
It’s not clear what exactly happened when Jo Dee Messina and Chris Young came face to face recently, but it definitely left a bad taste in the ‘My Give a Damn’s Busted’ hitmaker’s mouth. Messina took to her Twitter page early Tuesday morning (July 24) to let her 42,000 followers know that she was less than impressed by rising country music star Chris Young.
July 17, 2012 I text. A LOT. If I were to look at my phone bill text by text, it would read like "War and Peace." I try to respond to every text, email and social media message. It just isn't always possible. My mother gets ignored a lot. She sends in the neighborhood of 15 memes to me each day, most of which I've either seen before or don't have anything to do with my personality. I don't say anything to her. I figure much like the dog in "Christmas Vacation," it's best just to let her do her thing.
