Sedalia’s Weekend Events – Weekend of April 13
Here's a look at the weekend events!
Here's a look at the weekend events!
Kids, I'm an adult. I keep telling myself this to remind me that I have certain expectations of adult life. I have to sweep the floor, I have to feed the cat, I have to pay my water bill, etc. I also have to go to bed at a decent time and get up and go to work.
I do manage most of the time to get to bed by 10:00 or 10:30, at the latest on weekdays. On weekends I might stay up and then sleep in, but mostly I try to be pretty regular on the sleepytimes. I'm experiencing a new situation that's throwing that off, however.
Kids, last Saturday I got to spend some quality time out at Menards for their live broadcast. It's always good to see what the latest and greatest is out there, and they've definitely got something for everyone in your life. I certainly took some pictures to document it!
On the field and online, Jack Hoffman was impossible to stop on Saturday.
There are a lot of different things going on this weekend!
Registration for the Go Big of Go Home 5K race in remembrance of Blaine Whitworth begins at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, at 115 N. Holden St. in Warrensburg.
The race welcomes serious runners, beginners, joggers and walkers to the family fun race. All proceeds will go to the Blaine Whitworth Go Big or Go Home fund. The fund was set up in Whitworth's name after he died in a shooting last fall.
Kids, around this time of year a lot of groups are gearing up for the big Relay for Life Fundraiser. It's a great cause, and I'm sure all of us in some way or another have been touched by cancer.
Here are some of the goings on happening this weekend!
Country legend Charlie Daniels is expected to remain hospitalized until Friday as he recovers from pneumonia and a pacemaker implant to regulate his heart rate. The singer was admitted to a Nashville area hospital on Monday (March 25). He says he hadn't been feeling well.
Kids, it's getting to be that time of year: Easter. And I know when I was a kid, I looked forward to that basket just as much as I looked forward to the bigger crowds at Sunday Church.
