Kim Cupples and Bethany Cramer of Freddy's Frozen Custard in Sedalia and Jefferson City presented a check today (Dec. 13) to Show Me Honor Flight board members Tom Miller and Bob Chancellor. The Smith-Cotton Marching Tigers have been selected as the only band from the state of Missouri to appear at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tn. on New Year’s Day. It’s a great trip for these band members, but it’s expensive. Of the $30,000+ needed, T.I.M.P.O. (Tiger Instrumental Music Promoters Organization) had managed to raise all but about $8,000. Enter McCarthy Toyota of Sedalia.
Kids, here are some of the events that are going on in our area this weekend. What are you going to do?
It seems that spring has come early, so enjoy it while you can. The lack of rain and snow will impact a lot of outdoor activities this season, everything from hunting to fishing to canoeing.
Kids, we've talked a bit before about the need some autistic kids have for a service animal. They really help in some ways with repetitive or destructive behaviors, and much more.
Dale Malone, owner of Dukes & Boots in Sedalia, recently raised $1500 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri through a fundraiser held on Black Friday (Nov. 23).
One of the big traditions for those celebrating Christmas is putting up the Christmas tree for the season. Although there is the constant debate over having a real or fake tree, we're going to talk about where to get your real trees in Sedalia.
Rifle season has come to an end and black powder season is about to begin. The season has been changed this year to include crossbow, pistol with a barrel length of 14" or less, a spear with a name I can't pronounce and, of course, muzzleloader. It should be a great alternative methods season.
Townsquare Media's 7th fundraiser for the Show Me Honor Flight raised $19,000, making it our most successful fundraiser to date.
