CASA Awareness Walk Will Fight Spousal Abuse on April 24 [INTERVIEW]

The Citizens Against Spousal Abuse will have their annual Sexual Assault Awareness Walk on April 24.  CASA's mission is to empower domestic and sexual violence survivors to regain control of their lives through education, advocacy, and coordination of community resources.

April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, so now is the ideal time for people to come together and put an end to sexual assault, sexual abuse and spousal abuse. One of the big events of the year for CASA will be their Walk. It’ll start at 5:15 p.m. and continue until 7:00 p.m. They’ll depart from the Bothwell Regional Health Center at 5:30 p.m. and arrive at the Pettis County Court House about 6:00 p.m.

Activities for kids include emergency vehicle exhibits, balloon art, and refreshments. Activities for  adults include Mayoral Proclamations, live music, victim’s impact speech and sexual assault education.
