French songs will echo across the campus of State Fair Community College, as Camp Blue Sky celebrates the theme: Picasso's Paris; 1900-1945.

During lunch hours on August 1 and 2, guest artist, Tammy Spratley, will lead campers in traditional folk 'rondes.' All 225 campers will perform during the finale on Friday, August 4th, at 3:15 p.m.

Tammy Spratley is currently teaching music at Horace Mann Elementary School. She is certified in the ORFF Method of Arts Integration. A press release from SFCC says that the method brings movement, speech, drama, and singing to the study of playing an instrument.

Students have the opportunity to make music, as they develop problem-solving skills through imitation, experimentation, and personal expression.
