Calhoun Man Injured in Rollover Accident in Benton County
A Calhoun man was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident that occurred in Benton County early this morning at 5:25 a.m.
William H. Moon, 41, Calhoun, was the passenger in an eastbound 1999 Ford F-150 driven by 16-year-old Camden J. Allee of Windsor, when the vehicle ran off the right side of 52 Highway. The driver overcorrected and began skidding across the highway. Allee then overcorrected a second time, causing the truck to run off the right side of the roadway again, striking a ditch and overturning, landing on its roof, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. The accident happened .1 mile east of Dodge Pond Avenue.
Moon, who was not wearing a safety device, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Cole Camp EMS.
The Ford had extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
