Assistant Store Manager Shawn Wilcox talked about his new store located at 4401 Wisconsin Avenue.

“The first 100 people through the door will get free wings for a year. We're going to be opening at 10 that morning, but normally, our hours of operation are 11 to 12 a.m. Sunday though Thursday and 11 to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday,” Wilcox said.

The new store, decked out in the company's black-and gold colors, has 39 TV screens mounted through the dining area. “We have lots of TVs for people to come in and watch every game they want to watch,” Wilcox said. The TVs also extend to the patio area on the east side of the building.

Currently, the Sedalia Buffalo Wild Wings employs 98 people, many of whom were busy filling out applications on Tuesday afternoon. Wilcox, who previously managed the Warrensburg store, said he expects a huge turnout once the Sedalia store is open.

“At Warrensburg, when they opened, for 3 ½ weeks, they were on a wait from open to close. And Sedalia's a lot bigger than Warrensburg, I'm expecting a lot,” he said.

As far as the menu, Wilcox said the company will keep it simple due to the smaller market location. “We have wings, burgers and 20 beers on tap, which I think is bigger than anyone else in town,” he said.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony has been scheduled by the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce for 9:30 a.m. Monday.
